I've started a new venture, y'all! Most of you already know, but for those that don't, I became a Pampered Chef consultant. I have loved their products FOREVER! I've been using their products pretty much my entire married life (that's 20 years for those counting!) and haven't had to replace any of them. You probably know I love to cook and I love to make up my own recipes. It was just a matter of time before I started selling PC. I'm really excited to get my kit and book some shows. The website looks gorgeous if you want to check it out!
It's been over two years, folks. I guess life gets busy. Sometimes I want to pour my heart out on this blog, but then I also want privacy. Not everyone needs to know all of my business. On one hand I want to brag, complain, talk, share, etc. On the other I want to keep it to myself and not be oversharing. The struggle.
In other news, I'm about to turn 40. I'm entering my 5th decade on this planet. HOW DID THIS HAPPEN. 40 is hard. 40 is weird. 30 was easy, 40 is hard. I don't care if YOU had no trouble turning 40. It's hard for ME. I guess I just expected to stay 25-ish forever. I know old age means you're still here, you're still present. You haven't moved on yet. What am I afraid of? I don't know. Sometimes life moves too fast, Ferris Bueller.
Is it pertinent that I actually post? :)
Be back soon.
So, have I made any progress on the goals I blogged about on Jan 1st?
Pray for my husband more. This is causing me to also pray for everyone else more as well. If you're reading this, you've probably been prayed for by me. God is way better to me than I deserve. I'm so blessed!
Continue to rely on God to meet our needs. This one is tough, even though it doesn't sound like it should be. It's a struggle to just let God take over and not try to work everything out on my own. If I'd just remember that I CAN'T do anything on my own, I'd be much better off! Everything comes from Him! I'm a work in progress.
Read more books. I've read 1 or 2 books just since Jan 1st. I'm on a reading kick!
Work through a daily devotional. I am actually ahead on my daily devotional, because I can't just do one day at a time. Patience is not my virtue.
Exercise more. Exercise, period. Nope. :)
Make healthier choices. I'm beginning a 28-day detox on Monday. I'm so excited!! I would've started sooner but didn't have all of my products yet (Arbonne). I bought all of my "clean" food tonight, so I'll prep this weekend and be ready Monday! YEAH!
Declutter the 3rd bedroom, the basement, the cabinets. I'll get back to you.
Take care of my skin. I've taken the time to treat my skin better since Jan 1st. It's nice to actually use face products (instead of the normal 30-second Cetaphil wash/towel dry/run to the next chore). Cleansing, toning, serum, moisturizer, the works!! My skin feels so good! May not look good (yet) but man it feels nice.
Work hard again in the flower garden. See me in March.
Get back to being able to run for 45 minutes straight (that'll take awhile). Not yet. :)
Start a 2014 planner to keep organized. Buy a 2014 planner. Bought and started.
****The rest I'll think about another day. ****
How are your resolutions/changes coming along?
I'm a New Year's dork. I get all nerded out on New Year's Day, thinking about the possibilities that every shiny new year brings. New start. New chances. New mistakes. New plans. New lists. New opportunities. Instead of one resolution, I make about fifty. I figure the odds are decent that at least one in fifty will stick, right?
I'm just gonna go ahead and jot (type?) some of mine down right now, since I have so many. You know, in case I forget later.
Rough rough draft:
Pray for my husband more. Continue to rely on God to meet our needs. Read more books. Work through a daily devotional. Exercise more. Exercise, period. Make healthier choices. Declutter the 3rd bedroom, the basement, the cabinets. Take care of my skin. Work hard again in the flower garden. Get back to being able to run for 45 minutes straight (that'll take awhile). Start a 2014 planner to keep organized. Buy a 2014 planner. Be consistent. Give more, take less. Fit into "those" jeans. Think about watching a movie that'll make me cry (Eh. We'll see.) Do more, be more, offer more.
What do you look forward to in the new year? It doesn't have to be a stone cold resolution, but rather a change you'd like to see, or an area in which you'd like to put forth more effort. Whatcha got?
