One day I wanted soup, so I threw together some stuff from the pantry and came up with this. I may have to make another batch right now, because posting the recipe has made me hungry.
1 lb lean ground beef, browned
1 bag flat dumplings, boiled and drained
1/2-3/4 big box beef broth (alliteration, folks)
Equal amt of water as broth you used
1/2 bag bacon pieces (Not the hard imitation ones. The good, soft ones. Or (gasp) real bacon.
1/2 bag shredded cheese
1 brick low fat cream cheese (because I'm super healthy)
1/2 stick butter or margarine (more health)
Minced onion, salt, pepper to taste
Throw it all in a pot (except ground beef and noodles) and bring to a boil. Once the cream cheese is melted, throw the noodles and beef in, and simmer for 10 minutes. Eat it all!!!
